Educating our Youth in a Christ-Centered Educational Environment

Within a Christ-centered environment, Cross of Glory's Lutheran Elementary School provides children, ages preschool through 8th grade, a high quality education in a warm, family-like environment. Our dedicated teaching staff, a combined 50 years of experience, is able to teach the wonders of God's world and his love in a delightfully low student to teacher ratio. This allows every child the chance to grow his or her individual gifts and abilities in a caring community. We're delighted to invite you to inquire more about our school!
Academics
All students are expected to maintain an enthusiastic attitude toward academics, developing the intellectual gifts that God has given them. Our full academic program includes Math, Science, History, Social Studies and English. Our classrooms are internet-equipped so that every student has the chance to participate in live web-based learning in addition to the standard classroom activities.
Cross of Glory students participate in standardized achievement tests, where we proudly score above both the state and national averages.
All students participate in an annual Fine Arts Day. This allows our students to create works of art for parents and Church Family members to view and enjoy. Also included is a spelling bee, a math contest and foresics competition.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Cross of Glory Lutheran School provides many opportunities for our students to be active in sports and music. Private or semi-private lessons are available for piano and band instruments. Sporting events are an important part of our school activity. The "Cougars" compete in athletic events throughout the year against other local Lutheran Elementary Schools, in basketball, soccer, volleyball, and track and field.
Active Christian Parent Organization
Our school parent organization, Active Christian Parents (ACP) is energetic in supporting the many activities taking place in our school. Special efforts and involvement have allowed our students to take part in field trips and special events. Our end of year trip to Cedar Point was a great family outing and perfect way to cap off the 2003-2004 school year.
